Lessons: Day One

Our One Day introductory lesson package is a full 2-4 hour training session, and we provide all the equipment. Point of the Mountain Paragliding is usually the first to arrive at the training hill and often the last to leave. We want to maximize the time you have set aside for your paragliding experience.Our dedication and passion for teaching and flying has produced some amazing pilots, and numerous Paragliding Awards and Paragliding Testimonials.

First Day Lesson -$125

This lesson gives you a full session to discover paragliding. You will fly solo from our training hill your very first day. The lesson begins with an equipment introduction and demonstration, then it's your turn, with the aid of your instructor. We practice inflating and controlling the wing on the ground, learning the launch sequence, discussing the landing, and develop steering skills before introducing the element of flight. Your confidence is growing at this point, as students are often surprised with how quickly they progress.

Once our Simulated launches look good you are ready to enjoy your first flight. All flights are solo, radio-supervised and entirely self paced. Before launching we recap the flight plan and landing procedure. After landing the van will pick you up to drive up back up for another flight. Your instructor supervises you on the radio during your flights. As you progress we will introduce new concepts to help you improve on your technique.

We continue training as long as the weather conditions are manageable, and we both feel you are physically and mentally fit to continue. Often students get some of the best flying in the evening, when you have really started to get a feel for things and the conditions become very mellow and smooth. After a day of flying you may decide to continue your training and sign up for the Novice Certification Program. We will apply your one day fees toward the this.
